# iSPEX Spectrum Processing API

The API processes an iSPEX DNG camera image and returns spectrum, polarization, device, and calibration results.

## Process a spectrum

`POST https://ispex.org/ispex-api/process-spectrum`

Send a `multipart/form-data` request containing a single field named `file`. The file must use the `.dng` extension and be between 500 KB and 50 MB.

Successful responses use `application/json` and include device metadata, calibration metadata, a timestamp, and base64-encoded PNG plots. Invalid or unprocessable uploads return a JSON object with an `error` property.
